Captain Marden’s Seafoods was founded by owner Kim Marden’s grandfather, Master Mariner Captain Roy Wilfred Marden in 1945 as a single retail store west of Boston. His mission was simple: offer the very best seafood in town.
Since then, Captain Marden’s has grown to include over one hundred employees working in their restaurant, retail market, mobile food truck and wholesale division. Over the years, however, one thing has remained constant: their genuine (and some say obsessive) commitment to quality, freshness, and simplicity. It is what continues to earn them our reputation as “simply the best” when it comes to New England seafood.

Meet the Department Manager, Seabert!
My name is Seabert and I have been working at Pemberton Farms since 1999. I began as the produce manager and am currently the meat and seafood manager, which allows me to engage with all our customers. I’ve been working in food retail for over 20 years. I started working in the meat department at a local supermarket in Cambridge and then moved to the Harvest Food Coop, where I held the position of meat manager for ten years. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.
