I am a member of the 4th generation of Pemberton Farms and literally grew up in the business. I started stocking shelves and ringing the registers at a young age and continued to work in all departments of the store through high school. I studied consumer science at the University of Alabama which helped shape my passion for retail. From there I moved to Boulder, CO and worked for the grocery chain Sprouts Farmers Market, holding numerous positions including store manager for 2 years. I have been full time at Pemberton since May 2018 and am currently the stores General Manager. In my free time, you can find me with my partner Jamie and our dog Maurice either hiking, camping, skiing or spending time with friends and family.

I am a 4th generation member of Pemberton Farms that joined the family business in the midst of the pandemic. In March 2020, I began personal shopping in between my Zoom classes as a Special Education Teacher and full time over the summer. I loved working alongside my family members and ultimately decided that my heart was fully invested in Pemberton Farms. I’m currently busy learning new aspects of the business every day! In my free time, you can find me relaxing at home, cooking, walking around the Middlesex Fells and playing with my adorable and mischievous dog Tater.

As a proud fourth-generation member of the Pemberton family, I have grown up in the aisles of the store, learning the business from the ground up. Over the years, I have worn many hats — from working the registers at the front end to hands-on roles in the garden center, deli, grocery department, and even making deliveries and supporting catering events.
With a deep understanding of both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy, I currently oversee purchasing for key areas including dairy, frozen, and perishable groceries. In addition to buying, I also play an active role in store management alongside my aunt, uncles, and cousins, ultimately helping to keep the store running smoothly and staying true to the Pemberton legacy of service, quality, and community.

My name is Dennis , I am the Controller and Office Manager at Pemberton Marketplace. With over ten years of experience in the food industry—including roles in retail and specialty coffee shops—I joined the Pemberton family in the spring of 2015. In my current role, I oversee financial operations and office management while also working closely with vendors and small business to expand our specialized offerings, including gluten-free, nut-free, organic products, vegan, and more for our customers.
A strong advocate for local, organic, and sustainable products, I love connecting with customers to better understand their food preferences. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, exploring diverse cuisines, savoring fine wines, and spending quality time with my husband, friends, and my dog, Ursa Minor. Whether discussing pet nutrition or artisanal dark chocolate, or any special request, I am always available to help and share my passion for quality food.

My name is Gwen and I have been working at Pemberton Farms since 2015. I have a “you are what you eat” focus on functional foods and work to fill our store with life enhancers, better beverages, energy boosting snacks, and local clean eats. Before I started working here I was a Chef at Le Cordon Bleu in Hollywood, CA and a teaching Chef at LA Foodworks.

My name is Seabert and I have been working at Pemberton Farms since 1999. I began as the produce manager and am currently the meat and seafood manager, which allows me to engage with all out customers which I love to do. I’ve been working in food retail for over 20 years. I started working at the meat department in a local supermarket in Cambridge and then I moved to the Harvest Food Coop, where I held the position of meat manager for ten years. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time with my wife and kids.

Hey there! My name is Jay and I'm the Garden Center manager. I've been at Pemberton since 2025 and have been in the industry for close to 35 years. It's hard to say how an education in Visual Arts brought me to this career, but there are opportunities to use some of the same skills. Merchandising, creating displays and helping our customers with their containers and gardens all have their roots in design. I have a passion for pottery and have been working on a more curated collection of containers and garden accents. Our selection of native and shade perennials has grown and I hope to continue that trend in the future.

Hi, my name is Marjorie! I have an extensive background in food service and agriculture, starting at a young age working on a family farm where I milked cows, processed beef and poultry, and growing crops for Community- Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares. Prior to working at Pemberton Farms, I was a School Nutrition Director for a K-8 school, increasing children's access to nutritious meals that honored their cultural and dietary needs. I enjoy the opportunity to bring my experience to the Cambridge area and broaden what we have to offer to the local community. When I'm not at work, I am exploring new places and trying out new hobbies!

I come from a humble construction background, and I worked for my father's company for about 15 years. I appreciate all the skills I learned but I did not have passion for that job. I've known the Saidnawey family for most of my life and when I had the opportunity to work for Pemberton Farms full time I jumped at the opportunity. I very much enjoy receiving and I take pride in my work. I now have a young son and he is my world, and Pemberton helps me provide for my family and I am very grateful to be here. I started working part-time in the Gift Basket department in December of 1993, answering phones and processing the Christmas gift basket orders. My responsibilities grew and changed over time, as did the store and now 30+ years later, I’m still here, working with the Saidnawey Family. In my spare time I enjoy lake living, needlepoint, walking and spending time with my grandchildren.

Most recently, I worked to build innovation ecosystems by managing campuses of startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.
