Featuring these great wines this month:
Domaine le Clos des Lumieres, Cote du Rhone Red ‘15 (Regularly $15.99, Sale Price $13.99)
This entry level Cote du Rhone is mostly Grenache with some Syrah, and serves as a great table wine. The flavor profile is mostly red and dark fruits with a touch of spice. Jammy cherry, raspberry, and cassis are there, followed by some white pepper. A great crowd pleasing wine for sure.
Couly-Dutheil, La Coulee Automnale Chinon ‘14 (Regularly $17.99, Sale Price $15.99)
Cabernet Franc is one of my favorite varietals and this Chinon from a famous house in the Loire valley shows exactly how it’s done. The nose is all black fruits and spice, with a simple rustic elegance. The palate shows dark fruits like black plum, blackberry, followed by an earthy peppery finish. Don’t be afraid to serve this wine with a slight chill on it.
Le Cantine di Indie, Polpo Rosso ‘15 (Regularly $17.99, Sale Price $15.99)
This fresh and lively wine is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese which you typically see in Etna Rosso. A lighter bodied red, the palate is vibrant and juicy with strawberry and tart cherry, and a long delicate finish. *Organic*
